Returns & Refunds

Applies to all parts and component purchases from Tuned by Apex. Tuning services are covered separately under our Terms & Conditions.

Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt, subject to the following conditions:

  • Item must be in original, unused condition with undamaged original packaging
  • Item must not have been opened, installed, test-fitted, or modified in any way
  • Proof of purchase from Tuned by Apex is required

Non-returnable items: Products sourced or ordered specifically on customer request (non-regularly stocked items, special orders, custom harnesses, and made-to-order parts) are non-returnable and non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied by us.

Refund Options

Where a return is approved:

  • Refund to original payment method: A 15% restocking fee applies. Refund is processed within 48 hours of us receiving and inspecting the return.
  • Store credit: Full purchase amount credited with no restocking fee. Credit does not expire.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (incorrect or faulty item supplied).

Incorrect or Faulty Items

If Tuned by Apex supplies an incorrect part or an item that does not fit as specified in the product listing, we will:

  • Cover the return shipping cost in full
  • Provide a full refund or exchange at your preference
  • Process your resolution within 48 hours of receiving the return

Change of Mind

Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind purchases on non-stocked, special-order, or custom items. For stocked items, the 15% restocking fee applies (or store credit at full value). Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's expense.

Order Cancellation

Orders for non-regularly stocked or special-order products cannot be cancelled once supplier processing or shipment has commenced. Custom-made items cannot be cancelled once production is underway.

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order.

Transaction & Processing Fees

The following fees apply to cancellations paid via buy-now-pay-later or third-party platforms:

  • Afterpay / Zip: 6% processing fee on cancellations
  • PayPal: 2.5% transaction fee on cancellations

Exchanges for alternative products are not subject to additional cancellation fees, though standard return and transaction fees may still apply.

How to Return an Item

  1. Contact us at info@tunedbyapex.com or (03) 7046 6862 to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
  2. Securely package the item in its original packaging.
  3. Ship via a tracked and insured courier service — we recommend keeping proof of postage. Tuned by Apex is not liable for items lost in transit on return.
  4. Mark the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package.

Refund Processing Time

Refunds are processed within 48 business hours of receiving and approving your return. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been issued. Depending on your bank, funds may take 3–5 business days to appear.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If an item has a major fault, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation regardless of our standard returns policy.
