This intercooler is designed for both pre and post DPF models and was developed after testing a vehicle with a 3-tonne van in high-load, low-speed conditions on the Coburg Peninsula. Initially, fuel consumption spiked to 27L/100km and EGTs rose to 650-750°C, highlighting the limitations of the stock intercooler. After redesigning the system with a custom 660mm x 300mm x 76 tube and fin core, along with twin 10-inch SPAL thermo fans, fuel consumption dropped to 16L/100km on the highway and 14.5L/100km in low-speed, high-load conditions. The kit includes the intercooler, pipework, silicone hoses, clamps, brackets, fan looms, and instructions, and it’s backed by a lifetime warranty on construction with other components covered by a 12-month warranty.
